When Hurricane Melissa swept through Jamaica, entire communities were left without homes, roofs, and the simple things that make life stable. For many of us, it wasn’t a headline — it was family.

Waiting on outside help wasn’t an option. So we moved from heartbreak to action.

Roots & Relief was born out of love for our island and our people. We are a grassroots mission focused on restoring homes, hope, and dignity. One family at a time. Built on transparency, compassion, and community, we believe that real change starts when ordinary people decide to do something extraordinary: to rebuild together.

At Roots & Relief, rebuilding is more than replacing what was lost, it’s about restoring the foundation of community and belonging.

Our work begins with listening — to families, local leaders, and volunteers — then assessing needs and sending resources where they matter most.

We focus on:

• Home Repairs & Roof Restorations: helping families rebuild safely.

• Food, Water & Essentials: meeting immediate survival needs.

• Community Support & Education: providing school supplies, mentorship, and hope.

Every donation and every item is tracked and accounted for with transparency. We work hand-in-hand with local volunteers, churches, and small organizations to make sure relief truly reaches those who need it most.

Because every roof restored is a story of resilience — and every helping hand is a step toward rebuilding Jamaica.
